The Lair of the Dead is a special Exploration area in the Sky Kingdom region where special bosses can be challenged to obtain eggs and other rewards. There are 6 dragons available in this area.

Entering the Lair of the Dead

When one enters the Lair of the Dead, they can select between five "Harbinger of Death" bosses to challenge. Either the "Easy" or "Hard" difficulty can be selected, and up to 5 dragons that have Divine Power (obtainable through the Ancient Tower) can be selected to fight the boss. The fight can be "previewed" by using the Practice button to see how the fight may play out. Practicing will not count as an actual challenge, and the player can practice as many times as they like before challenging the boss. Harbingers of Death can be challenged once per day, as well as one extra time per through the use of a Hideout Pass item, which is available after watching an ad once per day as well as by purchasing them a maximum of three times per day for 50 Diamonds.

Rewards are obtainable depending on the difficulty, how much damage was dealt to the boss, if it was defeated, and if it was the first time it has been defeated. Occasionally, dragon eggs of the species of the dragon fought will be given as a reward.

Each time a "Harbinger of Death" is challenged, it will count towards a combat gauge, which can be used to obtain special forms of the dragon species fought.

Harbingers of Death

There are currently five Harbingers of Death that can be challenged in the Lair of the Dead, each with their own rewards and three difficulties to choose from: Easy, Hard, and EXTREME. Each difficulty is unlocked after beating the one prior to it (example: Hard is unlocked by beating Easy).

All Harbingers of Death will have the Curse of the Dead skill, which will result in an instant-kill for all team members after 20 turns. Thus, to beat a boss, their health will need to be depleted in 20 turns or less.

	Tartaros	6,000/10,000 Power 30,000/60,000 HP	Flames of the Dead Inflicts the Flames of the Dead debuff on all enemies for 3/5 turns, dealing continuous damage equal to 10% of their Max HP, ignoring their DEF and Damage Reduction at the end of their turns. Additionally, reduces their ATK by 50% for the duration of the debuff.

Each Harbinger of Death may rarely reward its own egg, either in its Default or Lair form, or Cherubim, either in its Default or Celestial form. The chances to obtain an egg increases the more damage is dealt to the boss.

Defeating a Harbinger of Death on Easy difficulty for the first time will reward Divine Stones, while defeating them on Hard difficulty for the first time will reward their respective egg in their Default form. In EXTREME mode, dragons will have infinite HP and cannot be defeated, however, special rewards can be obtained after reaching certain damage milestones. A statue of the corresponding dragon will be given when 50,000 or more damage is dealt to the boss, and a special dragon-themed title will be given when 80,000 or more damage is dealt to the boss.

After challenging any difficulty 50 times, a boss's respective egg in their Lair form will be rewarded.

Depths

The Depths is a special mode where the Dragon Slayer boss can be challenged. In this mode, 10 dragons can be selected to fight against Dragon Slayer, and have a maximum of 40 turns to deal as much damage as they can.

Dragon Slayer cannot be defeated, however, its egg can be obtained rarely, with the chance increasing with how much damage is dealt. Dragon Slayer has a special Frenzied form that can be obtained rarely or as a reward for challenging Dragon Slayer 100 times.

Additional special rewards will be given when certain damage milestones are met.
