Dragons are the fictional creatures that you are meant to obtain and collect as a core element of Dragon Village Collection's gameplay. They may come in different forms and can have many different uses to the player. While some dragons may resemble a dragon, some break the mold by resembling more closely to other mythical or even nonfictional creatures, though they are all still classified as dragons.

In the world of Alitia, dragons were initially thought to be extinct, however, when the player begins the game, the world suddenly finds itself re-introduced to these creatures when unhatched eggs were discovered. Dragons and humans now live together, and humans that work to raise dragons are known as Tamers, which is a role that the player takes.

Your collection of dragons can be found on the Dragon tab, found on the bottom left corner of the game.

Characteristics

Elements

Each dragon may have one or two element types, which are useful to certain tales, hybrid breeding, and in the Colosseum. These types are Wind Element Icon.pngWind, Fire Element Icon.pngFire, Water Element Icon.pngWater, Earth Element Icon.pngEarth, Lightning Element Icon.pngLightning, Steel Element Icon.pngSteel, Light Element Icon.pngLight, Dark Element Icon.pngDark, and Dream Element Icon.pngDream.

Region

Every dragon is categorized by the region they can be obtained from and are organized as such in both the Dragon Book and Cosmic Album. These regions are West Yutakan, East Yutakan, Deep Sea, and Special.

The Special region is typically used for dragons that aren't obtained through normal gameplay means, such as the Dragon of the Month, Card Code dragons, or event dragons.

Growing

All dragons will start out as an egg and, from there, will typically evolve into a hatch, then hatchling, then finally to an adult, where their growth will stop. Some dragons do not follow this formula and instead may evolve from an egg to a hatchling, or even from an egg to an adult. Dragons will grow based on the Cares given to them and how high their happiness is kept.

View the Dragon Growth page for a more in depth explanation on the subject.

Basic/Special Actions

Dragons are capable of performing standard Basic Actions such as Abandon or Shelter. Some actions require a dragon to be in a specific stage (growing or adult) to be able to perform them. Dragons may also have Special Actions that can only be performed by certain species when the dragon is an adult.

View the Basic Actions page and Special Actions page for a more in depth explanation on the subjects.

Trading

Dragons can be traded with other players for currency or other dragons. Some dragons cannot be traded based on their species, form, or how they were obtained.

View the Trading page for a more in depth explanation on the subject.

Breeding

Dragons can be bred to obtain more of their species, and sometimes hybrid dragons, at certain percent rates. Some dragons may have breeding restrictions and cannot breed with just any dragon.

View the Breeding page for a more in depth explanation on the subject.

Auras/Personalities

When a dragon is fully grown, it will obtain an aura around it depending on the personality it obtained during its growth. Personalities can be obtained by performing a variety of actions while the dragon is still in its egg and/or hatch stage, and many have complicated and difficult requirements.

View the Personalities page for a more in depth explanation on the subject.

Special Evolution

Some dragons are capable of reaching another stage past the adult stage, called Special Evolution. This requires 20,000 of a dragon's essence and will make the dragon a more powered-up version of itself. This process cannot be reverted once a dragon undergoes Special Evolution.

View the Special Evolution page for a more in depth explanation on the subject.

Dragon List

Each dragon list is organized by the region that the dragon is classified to belong to. Each list has two versions - an informative list that shows all possible locations that the dragon can be obtained from, and an image list that shows all of the dragon's sprite images.

For the sake of page stability, these lists are in their own subpage.
